The Throat Hole paddle (design 1a) is made for those looking for more control and spin, it is lighter in the head and will aid control - with a 3rd generation core and 12K skin.
The Traditional paddle (design 2) is designed for power players - with the latest (gen 4) core and T700 skin.
I have only one of Design 2 left!!
